We are proud to be an economically and socially responsible nonprofit, keeping the mothers and families we serve at the center of every decision and remaining accountable to all our donors, no matter the size of their gift. We are also proud to operate with an administrative rate below the industry average, ensuring that as much funding as possible reaches those who need it most.
Our founder saw countless women in the community doing everything parenting, working, caregiving with little support and no room to breathe.
She witnessed how often mothers were overlooked by systems that only recognized the extremes: either too financially strained to manage alone, or considered too “well-off” to qualify for public help. Through her own experience, she learned how life-changing even a few hours of support could be the relief, the reset, the clarity it created. That realization became the spark for Empower Her Village: a nonprofit built to make sure more mothers can access the care, rest, and practical help they need, because no woman should have to carry it all alone.
Empower Her Village is a community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to supporting mothers who fall in the gap between government assistance and private affordability. We provide accessible, short-term support through childcare assistance, household help, mental health services, and financial literacy resources so that mothers who do it all can rest, recover, and rise.
Our mission is to fill the cracks that traditional systems often miss, ensuring that no mother faces burnout, overwhelm, or isolation alone. We believe that investing in mothers is an investment in stronger families and healthier communities. While our work centers on mothers, we welcome caregivers of all identities and backgrounds who are raising children and need relief.
Research continues to show that when mothers lack rest, emotional support, and practical help, it affects not only their own well-being but also the long-term stability and development of their children. Yet too many families are left without meaningful support simply because they earn too much to qualify for aid, while still not earning enough to afford the services they need. Empower Her Village exists to help close that gap.
We provide support through a flexible model that may include direct service vouchers, prepaid support cards, referrals to trusted providers, community partnerships, and connections to public resources when available. When government resources fall short, we step in with dignity-centered support designed to meet mothers where they are and help them move forward without added financial strain.
Our programs are not just about assistance they are about dignity, restoration, and creating a ripple effect of well-being that extends to children, partners, and the broader community. Because mothers deserve more than just survival they deserve the opportunity to thrive.
