About the Role
Empower Her Village is looking for a Social Media Intern to help grow our digital presence and strengthen how we connect with mothers, supporters, donors, and community partners online. This role is ideal for a college student, recent graduate, or high school graduate seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, digital storytelling, and brand growth.
Responsibilities
Help manage Empower Her Village social media accounts
Create and schedule posts across platforms
Write captions aligned with EHV’s voice and mission
Respond to comments and help engage with the online community
Support campaign planning and content rollouts
Help brainstorm content ideas for awareness months, events, fundraising, and storytelling
Track post performance and help identify what content is working
Assist with maintaining a consistent brand look, tone, and message
Support growth of visibility, engagement, and community awareness online
Qualifications
Interest in social media, communications, marketing, or nonprofit work
Strong writing and communication skills
Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and similar platforms
Organized, creative, and dependable
Able to follow brand guidelines and messaging direction
Comfortable engaging with community comments and messages professionally
Experience with Canva or similar design tools is a plus
College student, recent graduate, or high school graduate looking to build experience preferred
